Racism and Mental Health Symposium- "The Time is Always Now"

About this event

The Black Mental Health Alliance and Hope Health Systems present the Racism and Mental Health Symposium- “The Time is Always Now,” on Friday, August 26, 2022, 9am -4 pm EST. This year's theme "The Times is Always Now" is inspired by the James Baldwin quote, "There is never time in the future in which we will work out our salvation. The challenge is in the moment; the time is always now." This symposium will educate, discuss, and acknowledge the impact of racism on mental health and encourage the creation of an equitable and anti-racist community to improve the health of those impacted. We hope you will join us in challenging the moment!

Keynote Speaker :

Dr. Theopia Jackson, President of the Association of Black Psychologists

This symposium is made possible by the generosity of the Baltimore City Public Schools.

7 CEUs from the Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists (BOPCT) will be awarded for FREE .
