About this Event

Description

Developing an anti-racist organization is no easy feat. In light of the disproportionate impact of the pandemic on BIPOC communities, acts of violence against BIPOC peoples and extreme racial injustices, nonprofit organizations continue to reexamine their missions and ask vital questions about their role in perpetuating these systems of inequality.

In order to begin to address these conversations, boards need to come together to build relationships with staff that invite learning and growth around racial equity. The Nonprofit Institute at the University of San Diego, has developed the Racial Equity Series for Nonprofit Boards. This series will provide the necessary building blocks to begin the work of leading your organization towards a more equitable and racially conscious future.

This series includes discounted access to The Nonprofit Institute, Fieldstone Leadership Network and RISE San Diego’s FORTIFY: The Racial Equity Series, a collection of webinars that provide nonprofit leaders with foundational understanding, tools and resources necessary to lead in the areas of race relations and equity.

In addition, The Racial Equity Series for Nonprofit Boards, provides the opportunity for you and members of your organization to have one-on-one coaching consultations with Dr. Zachary Green and other diversity professionals in The Nonprofit Institute’s Network. From 1-hour conversations to 3-hour group discussions, Dr. Green will provide you with coaching and will co-create with you the best practices to continue this work within your organization.
