Join The Black Parent Group (BPG) for a film screening Race: The Power of an Illusion, Presented by Penumbra & the Multicultural Resource Center.
After the film, stay for an honest yet, respectful conversation around the issues of race and difference. This documentary questions the idea of race as biology and investigates its impact in shaping the lives and opportunities of individuals and communities.
Insightful. Easy to watch, even entertaining as it educates. You will not see race the same way after watching the series."
- Jerry Large, Seattle Times
“By far the best documentary series on race of the last decade."
- Troy Duster, former president, American Sociological Association
"A marvelously intelligent documentary. A timely reminder that social divisions are made, not inevitable."
- Patricia Williams, The Nation
