The Caribbean community is among one of the largest ethnic groups in the United States. With their strong culture and heritage, deep-rooted principles and education, the Caribbean community has some of the best opportunities for growth potential in the United States. With major contributions in business, finance, real estate and healthcare, Caribbean natives have earned their place alongside other expats.
Our contributions to our home abroad, though great, dwarfs in comparison to the contributions we’ve made for each other. Due to individual needs and direction, miscommunication and disorganization, our strong group appears more divided than unified. Change is needed. As a people cut from the same cloth, we need to bring all of our strengths together to form an unbreakable bond, we must mend the broken chain. So how do we combat this problem?
We are introducing R5Journal.com, a website that aims to bring awareness to issues facing our Caribbean diaspora. R5journal.com will be a live and interactive media platform that targets the needs of the Caribbean communities within the tristate area. Through panel discussions with experts in business, finance and real estate, reviews of our Caribbean owned and operated businesses, audience participated programs that fosters growth of new talent in our entertainment industries, R5journal.com aims to reconnect our Caribbean residents.
Please join us On Saturday February 18 at 8pm for the soft launch of R5Jornal.com
Our evening will begin with a networking cocktail hour from 8pm-9pm with holiday refreshments and hors d'oeuvres followed by an opening musical performance. We will then see a presentation from the founders of the website followed by guest speakers from the community.
We assure you that this will be a very informative evening filled with lots of Caribbean flare, but we cannot do this alone; it will take all of us to build the strong community we aspire to be. Get involved and join us.
