The Quincy Lions Club is celebrating its 76th anniversary serving the community of Quincy, and this year we will be honoring Janet M. Batson, the recipient of The Francis X. McCauley Community Award at our Evening for Sight on March 22, 2017. The Francis X. McCauley Award is presented annually to a resident, activist or businessperson in Quincy who has demonstrated a commitment to being of service to others and the community consistent with the Lions Club motto, “We Serve.”
All proceeds from the Quincy Lions Club Evening for Sight will be utilized to help support Quincy Lions Club Charities, a 501(c)3 Charitable Organization.Your sponsorship of this event will have a direct impact on the Quincy Lions Club’s ability to fund early detections of vision impairments in children and adults along with:
- Massachusetts Lions Eye Research Fund Support
- Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary Support
- High School Student Scholarships
- Youth Speech Contests
- Art Peace Poster Contests
- KidSight Vision Screenings
During 2016, The Quincy Lions Club helped facilitate vision screenings for over 1500 Quincy Children, and is committed to making free screenings available to every child in Quincy in hopes of providing early detection that can lead to early treatment of vision issues.
