QuickBooks© Seminar for Pulaski County Entrepreneurs and Business Owners
Innovative entrepreneurial training program comes to the New River Valley
Pulaski, Virginia (January 4, 2013, revised 1/16/2013) Today Beans and Rice Inc. announced a new seminar series for Entrepreneurs and Business Owners interested in integrating their accounting applications with QuickBooks®. QuickBooks© Accounting software is the number one choice of small business owners to manage the financial aspects of their business. Due to the popularity of the software, Beans and Rice Inc will present QuickBooks training seminars for Pulaski and Montgomery County Residents. This program is possible through grant funding by the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development.
The seminars will be held at Beans and Rice Inc. located at 246 N. Washington, Suite B., Pulaski, Virginia beginning January 30 and scheduled through April 2013. These classes are taught in three stages: Beginners, Intermediate, and Advance with multiple class sessions offered.
Each seminar will focus on learning how to set up a business chart of accounts, posting accounts payable and accounts receivable, constructing financial statements and much more. Each seminar provides interested entrepreneurs and business owners with a comprehensive overview of QuickBooks.
The seminars are open to all small business owners or individuals that are interested in learning how to use QuickBooks. The registration fee is $10 per class or $25 for the Beginning, Intermediate, and Advance classes; classes are offered in two sessions, Saturdays and Wednesdays. Pre-registration and advance payment is required due to seating limitations. Computers will be provided. - Getting started with QuickBooks
- Setting up a QuickBooks Company File
- Setting up and working with Customer and Vendor lists
- Banking including setting up accounts and writing checks in QuickBooks
- Entering Sales Information
This four-hour workshop will assume no knowledge or experience using QuickBooks. The topics are intended to get the beginner started using QuickBooks for their business.

Class 1, Session 1 Sat., Feb. 2nd 8:30 am – 12:30 pm
Class 1, Session 2 Wed. Feb. 6th 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm
