Event description
Literary critic Hyejin Oh will give a lecture on the history of Korean queer literature.

About this Event

This event is in conjunction with the exhibition, QueerArch, on view at Hapjungjigu in Seoul.

Hyejin Oh is a literary critic. She studied modern and contemporary literature and culture theory at the Department of Korean Language at Sungkyunkwan University (Seoul) where she also completed the doctorate coursework. Her interest lies in analyzing and historicizing the sexual politics of narrative, representation, and discourse. In her publication, An Extremely Literary Taste (Spring 2019), she questions the normality of Korean literature and analyzes the nature of democratic imagination and narrative experiments presented by the new generation.

QueerArch, curated by Kang Seung Lee and Jin Kwon, was selected through apexart’s Open Call.
