Announcing the very first Queer Country Quarterly, brought to you by Eli Conley of Sugar in the Salt!
Why have a queer country music show? Because sometimes you love a culture that doesn’t always love you back. We do it because we love the music and want to build a community to support queer country musicians. We do it because everybody needs a honky tonk angel to hold them tight. We do it because we believe in country music for all cow people.
This show will feature the country stylings of Shane Fairchild, Americana songwriter trio Sugar in the Salt, and country-western honky tonk band The Western Skyline.
This is the first West Coast edition of Brooklyn's Queer Country Monthly, hosted by Karen & the Sorrows. It will hopefully become a quarterly event in the Bay Area.
