Event description

Description

You are invited to our Queer Co-ownership mixer. This is our third event of it’s kind, but this time we are focusing on our LGBTQ+ communities.

With soaring house prices and a lack of affordable rentals people are forced to leave the city. What does this mean for the people in our LGBTQ communities? Leaving the city doesn’t just mean a change of lifestyle, but a change in personal security and peace of mind.
For queer families, the question of moving away from urban life, isn’t a simple choice between the city and the suburbs, but also about not having access to the community we have built, the resources we need, and the freedom to be our authentic selves. Not to say that there aren’t many LGBTQ folks living happily in the suburbs or the country - we just know that for a lot of us city queers, leaving Toronto and buying elsewhere is due to necessity, not choice.

GoCo’s agent, Lesli Gaynor is dedicated to bringing you the information you need regarding all aspects of co-ownership from start to finish. There are many benefits to owning property, and co-ownership provides an opportunity to access them - even with current market prices.
This evening is a way for you to explore what you may be looking for with like minded people. What does co-ownership look like for you? What are your needs and wants in regards to this? What type of person(s) would you be interested in embarking on this venture with?

Join us at Glad Day Bookshop on Monday September 25th. Doors open at 6:30 and the event will begn at 7pm.

There is absolutely no obligation on your part other than coming out, learning, and having a great time.
Join us for an evening of co-ownership knowledge, mixing and some creative mingling. You will hear from experts who support co-ownership and have a lot of information to share as well as meet other LGBTQ+ people interested in co-owning.

There will be snacks available and a cash bar.

We hope to see you there!
