Event description

Description

After a long break, we are finally back with another Saturday afternoon event. We'll be taking over a space in central Leeds for an afternoon of coding. Bring along your personal projects, you ideas, even your homework. We’ll be providing a space to work in, wireless internet, and like-minded people to talk to, collaborate with, and bounce ideas off. As well as coding, there will be plenty of time to meet other queer developers.

If you don’t have your own laptop please come anyway - we can pair you up with someone who does have a laptop.

There’s no fixed agenda for this event. Come along from 12:00 onwards, and we should have the space until 6.45pm.

Queer Code Yorkshire are a group of queer programmers who wish to write code within a supportive environment. We run talks and workshops. Come along and work on your personal projects, and also meet like-minded people.

Participants & organisers agree to follow our Code of Conduct

Lunch will not be provided, nor will refreshments. But there are cafe facilities next to our meeting room, and you can bring your own food and drink into the room if you wish.

Directions & Accessibility

We will meet in the Community Hub which is on the Fourth Floor of John Lewis's new department store in Victoria Gate, Leeds. This is a short walk from Leeds Railway and Bus stations, and also has a multi-storey carpark adjacent, though parking there all day is an expensive option. For cheaper parking, please park at Woodhouse Lane carpark which is a 15 minute walk from the John Lewis's store.

There is wheelchair access. There is seating. This isn't a hearing loop, a bsl interpreter, or a designated quiet space.
