About this event
This October we reintroduce A QueensWay Tour, co-led by Friends of the QueensWay and local legend, "Wildman" Steve Brill. On November 1st 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. - Steve Brill will lead us as we explore one of the best places for foraging.
*Due to COVID-19, this event is subject to change if guidelines are updated to prevent this event from happening. Currently, this tour has limited spots in order to practice social distancing according to guidelines, Masks are required*
Email confirmation will be sent upon signing up by Eventbrite. Email with details and specific meetup location will be sent 48 hours after signing up with a reminder the evening before event.
The suggested donation is $20/adult, $10/child under 12, on day of. At least 24 hours in advance to reserve a spot on the tour so that we can plan accordingly. You may bring cash or check to be handed off to Steve Brill.

"Naturalist-author "Wildman" Steve Brill is America's go-to guy for foraging. He's been leading foraging tours and providing demos for the public, for schools, day camps, birthday parties, museums, nature centers, parks departments, restaurants and chefs, garden clubs, hiking clubs, teaching farms, nurseries, and other organizations, in parks and natural areas throughout the Greater NY area, since 1982.

The QueensWay is a joint project between Friends of the QueensWay and The Trust for Public Land.
The QueensWay plans to convert the long-abandoned LIRR Rockaway Beach Branch into a 3.5-mile linear public park & greenway which will serve as a link between neighborhoods.
