High Blood Pressure and the New 2017 Guidelines
Queen's Speaking of Health lecture (FREE) - Wed., Feb. 28, 2018

Did you know the guidelines for who has high blood pressure (hypertension) has changed? Under the new guidelines set in November 2017 by the American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiologists, you could now be one of the 46 percent of U.S. adults who are considered hypertensive.

Having high blood pressure puts you at risk for heart disease and stroke, the leading causes of U.S. deaths.  Join Robert Hong, MD, cardiologist and chief of staff at The Queen’s Medical Center, to find out:

  • What is hypertension?
  • Why is it a problem?
  • Why does it occur?
  • What are the new guidelines?
  • What can you do about it?

Come early for free blood pressure testing and to pick up great information.  You can also talk story with the folks at Queen's Heart!

Space is limited.  Reservations are required. Register online or call The Queen’s Referral Line at 691-7117.

Parking is available for a $5 flat rate with validation in the Physicians Office Building III, which is recommended since it is the closest to the Queen's Conference Center. Enter from Lauhala St. You can also park at the Physicians Office Building I and Miller parking garages for the same $5 flat rate with validation.

Can’t get in because the lecture is full?  Can't make it because you have another engagement?  You can watch the recording of this lecture online about 2 weeks after the event on Queen's YouTube channel.
