2017 Winners: Metal Hawks

Our grand prize winners were Metal Hawks, a young rock/heavy metal band from Long Island. They have played at a range of venues, including The Hub, The Crooked Rail, and the West Village’s acclaimed musical proving ground, The Bitter End.

Metal Hawks

The band is led by bass-playing front man Ryan Daversa, accompanied by John Barry on guitar, and Alex Hertler on the drums. They’re veterans of the teen live music scene, and are dedicated to refining their craft.
