Event description

Description

Jody Miller scored a #1 hit song with Queen Of The House, an answer song to Roger Miller's King Of The Road in 1965. However, Jody's talent was tagged as "Too Pop for Country and Too Country for Pop" so she made the best of both genre's with hit songs on both sides of that aisle. With questioning her proper musical niche long a thing of the past, Jody Miller has amassed a multitude of awards, accomplishments and fans in a multi-faceted career that in 2008 sees her nearing the half-century mark in show business. With her rich and resonant voice wonderfully intact, here's hoping that Jody will continue spreading some good news --through some great music-- for many years to come.

Carl Vaughn's music career started at the age of four when he began singing on a local radio show in Cleburne, Texas. His recording career has spanned over forty years. Signing with Monument Records in 1968, he was one of their top artists with several chart records. He has performed on stage and in the recording studio with too many artists to name. Artists such as Willie Nelson, George Jones, Ray Price, Faron Young, Charlie Pride, Johnny Paycheck, Tammy Wynette, Connie Smith and Wynn Stewart. He was a member of the Texas Playboys in the mid 1960's. In 1980 he performed at President Reagan's inaugural celebration. Carl's career has also included movies, national television shows, and he is a published author. Carl's two latest albums have reached the top of the charts in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and South America. He was one of the most played mainstream artists in the world in 1999, 2001, 2002 and 2003.
