Live Music: Flatland Drive
Flatland Drive began, not as a joke, but as a serious effort to blend traditional, hard-driving bluegrass with modern stylings, on April Fool's Day in 2009. The members of the band hail from either Caroline County, Maryland or Kent County, Delaware, and their proximity is alarmingly close.
In their relatively short time together, the band has shared the stage with the likes of bluegrass giants such as The Seldom Scene, The Lonesome River Band, Dailey and Vincent, The Boxcars, and many other stellar bands in the world of bluegrass. They have worked very hard to write, find, and sharpen a wide array of material that showcases the instrumental prowess of their players and the respected harmonic talents of their vocalists.
MILTON THEATRE QUAYSIDE
A brand new dynamic “outdoor events” space next to the historic Milton Theatre along the Broadkill River that is set to influence the look and feel of downtown Milton!
Called the “Milton Theatre Quayside” (pronounced as kee-side), the space will add to a growing list of public areas where people can enjoy outdoor performances and various events. “Quay” has been incorporated in the name (which means, “a platform lying alongside water for loading and unloading ships”) as a tribute to the town’s shipbuilding history.
The Milton Theatre is "COVID-19 Customer Protection Standards Certified" by the Delaware Division of Small Business
