Paws for Life has no paid staff and receives no government support. Every penny donated goes directly to the animals in our care.

Join us Sunday, December 8 at noon as we raise our paddles to raise funds for the homeless pets of Paws for Life Rescue. Doors open at noon at Fifth Avenue, 2nd floor, 215 W. 5th St, Royal Oak, Michigan. Everyone welcome, open to all ages.

What is Quartermania?

It’s a really fun time and a great chance to win items for only a quarter. All auction items are valued at a minimum of $20. When the host holds up an item you want to win, you put a quarter in the bucket and hold up one paddle. Want to double your chances? Toss in two quarters and hold up two paddles. If the host draws the number that matches your raised paddle, you win!

FAQs

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

No. This event is open to all ages. ID is required to purchase alcohol from the bar and to purchase raffle tickets for any baskets containing alcohol. Soda, water and juice available for purchase from the bar as well.

What are my parking options for the event?

There is no fee for parking on Sundays in Royal Oak. There are several nearby parking lots and ample street parking.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Yes, that's fine.

What if I run out of quarters?

No worries. We will have volunteers available to make change for you.

Do you accept credit and debit cards?

Yes, we do. And, of course, cash is always welcome as well.

Can I come to the event to bid on silent auctions and raffle baskets without participating in the Quarter Auction?

Yes, if you don't want to raise paddles, you can pay just $5 to enter the event.

How can I sign-up to be a vendor at the event?

Just send an email to volunteer@pawsforliferescue.org. Vendors spaces are free and vendors keep 100% of their sales proceeds. In exchange, each vendor must donate two items or baskets of items, valued at $20 each minimum, for the quarter auction.
