Event description

Quantum cacao ceremony is a deeply somatic, dreamlike experience that inspires and connects mind-body-soul-spirit, while guiding and enhancing your life path. This virtual, guided journey facilitates an inner sense of renewed inspiration, clarity, and connectedness to your inner self and life itself.

Cacao has an ancient history of opening people to the wisdom of the heart. The ancient Mayan word, Chokolaj, which means “drinking chocolate together,” reflects how integral cacao was to the lives of the Maya. They believed the cacao tree to be sacred and honored cacao for its healing and initiation through ritual, its energetic and mood-enhancing properties, and its ability to connect them to their deeper selves, community and spirit.

Our sacred cacao ceremony honors Mayan tradition and wisdom by calling in IxCacao, the goddess of chocolate, and the life force energies of the Six Directions and Four Elements, our Spirit Animals, Ancestors and Star Beings. After you drink the cacao, which is simply pure, raw cacao from Guatemala sweetened with honey and spices, you deepen into the experience through a guided meditation that supports inner connection and allows you to fully relax and journey with the sacred music that follows.

Cacao ceremony is a gentle, meditative inner journey that
*inspires creativity and innovation
*improves mental clarity and focus
*accesses inner guidance and wisdom
*aids in attaining inner balance, connection and healing

Our virtual ceremonies are held online via Zoom video conference, so you can join in ceremony from the sanctuary of your own home wherever you are. Once you register, you will receive a Zoom invitation with instructions via email.

How to prepare for ceremony: For optimal effect of the cacao, it's best to fast for 3 hours before and partake lightly of caffeine and dairy for the day. Hydrating with water, before, during and after ceremony is advised as cacao is a mild diuretic and detoxifier.

Medication contraindicators: Cacao is not recommended for people who are taking heart medicine or anti-depressants. If you are taking one of these medications, you are always welcome to join us in ceremony without cacao. It is a beautiful experience all on its own.

What we’ll be drinking: You'll be sent ceremonial cacao in the mail via Priority Post and a recipe to make your own warm cacao elixir with cardamom, ginger, a hint of chile pepper and raw honey.

How to create your cacao cocoon and altar: For your journey, you'll need a rug or yoga mat to lie on, favorite blanket and pillow to create your cacao cocoon as we often lie down on the floor for part of ceremony. Be sure to have water, and a journal and pen by your side. You may want to create a small altar for your ceremony if you don't already have one. I'll also be sharing a brief video on creating an altar ahead of ceremony.

Intention for ceremony: You may wish to take a moment to reflect on your intention for ceremony: it could be a desire for clarity or guidance on something in your work, life or relationship; deeper connection with your inner wisdom or life itself; or simply a deep, healing journey. Opening to receive the gifts of Ixcacao is the key to a profoundly beautiful experience.
