Quantitative Research Thursday: Data Viz & User Experience
Thursday, November 7, 2013 from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM (PST)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
We've all heard about the potential of big data, but there is an increasing concern that we can drown in data and lose focus on the user. Data visualization is a powerful toolbox for summarizing complex data and uncovering patterns of online interaction. At its best, data viz can also help to humanize and de-sterilize big data.
We have enlisted our friends in data visualization and UX to talk about how they use viz as a tool for understanding the user experience. You'll hear from:
John Alexis Guerra Gómez -- Palo Alto Research Center (PARC)
Zhengzheng Pan -- UX Researcher, Facebook
Hannah Pileggi -- UX Researcher, Facebook
Judd Antin -- Research Manager, Facebook
We'll have a series of short, informal talks from our speakers paired with food, drinks, and chatting.
*We will have a shuttle available to take guests to and from Palo Alto Caltrain. Please message the organizer if you plan to ride for information and times.
