Quality of Life and the Future of Downtown. Can the two co-exist?
Mon, April 24, 2017, 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM PDT
We all want a thriving downtown. But, in order to thrive, we should consider land use policies that are adaptable to change.
The City of San Mateo invites you to participate in the next Taste and Talk event taking place on Monday, April 24th at Draper University's Hero City from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. to learn about the social, demographic and economic changes that are coming our way.
Former Santa Clara County Principal Planner, Don Weden and economist, Bill Lee with the Land Econ Group, will discuss the regional pressures that cities throughout the Bay Area are facing. This insightful presentation will spark ideas about how we can maintain the quality of life in Downtown San Mateo while creating a responsible and visionary plan for its future.
Registration and refreshments begin at 5:45. Please arrive early to sign in and to have time to talk to your neighbors and fellow community members! Please visit the Downtown Specific Plan website for more information about this important project.
