Wound Care and Mobility Collaborative Learning Series
Learning Session 3
This is a collaborative learning series between the Perry Foundation and HealthInsight of Nevada,
facilitated by Donna Thorson and Sandra Hart.
The objectives of this collaborative are to:
1. Ensure each facility has well-established and reliable processes to maintain resident mobility, reducing risks for:
- Pressure ulcers
- Falls with major injury
- Functional decline
2. Ensure best practices for maintaining and promoting skin integrity for high-risk residents
3. Demonstrate the ability to assess the effectiveness of current practices related to preventing and healing pressure ulcers
4. Integrate QAPI principles into maintaining reliable, patient-centered processes to prevent functional decline and address skin integrity
This workshop is pending approval for Four (4) CEUs by BELTCA for Administrators and the Nevada State Board of Nursing for Licensed Nurses..
