QSP/QSD Training - Napa Valley

The QSP training course will begin with registration at 8AM on Wednesday, October 27. The two-day QSP course will conclude at 5PM on Thursday, October 28. QSD training requires additional modules on Friday, October 29 from 8AM - 5PM. Coffee and light snacks will be served each day. There will be a one hour break for lunch. Please bring a printed copy of the new permit (click here). Course topics will include:
QSP/QSD (Days 1-2)
· Training Overview and Regulations
· Erosion Processes and Sediment Control
· SWPPP Implementation
QSD Only (Day 3)
· Project Planning and Site Assessment
· SWPPP Development and Permit Registration Documents (PRDs)
· Project Closeout
State and Regional Water Boards proctor the exam to become a QSP/QSD. The QSP exam is ~80 questions and the QSD portion is an additional ~45 questions. There is no cost to take the exam. Who can attend?
Anyone may attend the course. However, in order to be eligible for the separate QSP/QSD exam, one of the following certifications is prerequisite:
· Professional Civil Engineer – QSP/QSD
· Professional Geologist/Engineering Geologist – QSP/QSD
· Landscape Architect – QSP/QSD
· Professional Hydrologist – QSP/QSD
· CPESC – QSP/QSD
· CPSWQ – QSP/QSD
· CISEC – QSP only
· CESSWI – QSP only
(*Note - As of recently, students wishing to take the QSP exam will not need to show proof of a pre-requisite certification until September 1, 2011.)
