This October, join Shaolin Grandmaster Wong Kiew Kit, ‘Qigong Master of the Year’ recipient from the Second World Congress on Qigong, for the final workshop of his 2018 World Tour.

Through Master Wong’s energy flow workshops, you will learn to absorb intrinsic energy from all around you, and to circulate that energy to encourage healing, nourish deficiencies, clear toxicity, and then consolidate it to fuel vitality and mental clarity throughout the day. What is Qigong?

Qigong (pronounced CHEE-GUNG) is a Mandarin Chinese word that means “energy cultivation.” In practice, it is a series of gentle physical movements done in a deeply meditative state of mind. With this combination, a practitioner is able to tap into a universal energy source, absorb some of that energy for themselves, and freely circulate it throughout their bodies. As you allow the new energy to circulate, it will naturally cleanse and nourish your existing energy system, encouraging every other bodily system to function at a higher level. The results are often spectacular. Old injuries heal. Chronic illnesses fade away. The fundamental power of the body to heal itself is gradually restored. Once learned, a personal practice session is 10 to 15 minutes, and can easily be done from the comfort of your own home.

Class Descriptions

Generating an Energy Flow*

This class provides the bedrock upon which your personal Qigong practice and future development of advanced skills are built. Through direct transmission from Grandmaster Wong, participants will be led into a deeply relaxed 'qigong' state of mind from which they will be able to generate and enjoy the experience of chi (energy) flow. These skills empower students to feel mentally fresh, joyful, full of vitality and good health, and with continued practice, spiritual peace and tranquility. It is essential, and often life-changing.

*This class is the prerequisite for all other workshop classes.*

Qigong for Healing and Optimal Health

The two pillars of a qigong practice are building energy and circulating energy. This class focuses on the energetic skill of circulation to clear the internal blockages responsible for disease, facilitating your natural return to a state of good health and well-being. Chronic pain and illness are neither natural nor necessary. This course will empower you to experience for yourself the extraordinary healing potential of a simple daily 10 minute qigong practice.

Building Internal Force for Vitality and Personal Power

In this class the focus is on building and consolidating the energy you generate in your qigong practice. For centuries authentic Kungfu practitioners fueled their combat techniques with these energetic skills, but in the modern era we re-apply them to enrich and empower our daily lives. Build and sustain vitality and internal force to rise higher, push further, and experience deeper personal fulfillment than ever before.

Energetic Cosmic Shower

This class drastically elevates the foundations taught in Generating an Energy Flow. Class participants will experience a heart-to-heart transmission of the profoundly blissful skill of absorbing a cleansing shower of Cosmic energy to purify the mind, body, emotional and spiritual self. Grandmaster Wong is able to directly transmit this exceptional skill, which would otherwise take years of correct practice to develop, if ever achieved at all.

At a low level, cultivating the spirit enriches our daily lives, enabling us to be calm, joyful, and free of anxiety, depression and stress. At a higher level, it offers a glimpse of undifferentiated reality. If you’re ready, this course can open the door. (This and all other classes are non-religious. Practitioners of any faith, or none, are welcome)

My name is Stella Brophy and I first started taking Qigong lessons in October 2016. Initially for me, it was difficult to identify what Qigong was about, but as advised, I persevered and slowly I started to feel great things happening to me.
- I feel that I have more energy for me to go about my daily activities.
- I am able to think more clearly and prioritize effectively.
- I began to enjoy doing the patterns taught to me whilst practicing at home twice daily for 10-15 minutes at a time, also as advised.

A Personal Note from your Course Organizer...

I first began learning from Sifu Wong in the Spring of 2007. It was tremendously serendipitous, and proved to be one of the pivotal moments of my life.

I have been in love with the martial arts since I walked into my first Kungfu class as a boy. Though I trained in many different styles as I grew up, it was always Kungfu, specifically Shaolin Kungfu, that captured my imagination. The idea of the peaceful warrior monk enthralled me!

I desperately wanted something real, though I didn’t quite know what that meant. Something that lived up to the books I’d read and the movies I’d watched. I wanted it so badly that I moved to Northern China and lived at a martial academy, studying Wushu, Tai Chi, and Qigong all day, every day, for a year. But, though I have tremendous respect for the masters I studied under, the arts were hollow. Their essence had been lost. But while I was there, a fellow student gifted me one of Sifu Wong’s Shaolin Kungfu books…

Two years later, I am a broke exchange student in Japan. After leaving China, I had all but given up hope that the essence I was searching for still existed. One day, with my return home fast approaching, I asked myself what I wanted to do with the two weeks of open time I had before my visa expired. I don’t know why, but Sifu’s name popped into my head. I believe the thought went something like, “what about that Wong guy who wrote that book?…”

And so I googled him. And it just so happened that he was teaching an Intensive Qigong Course in Sabah, Malaysia during my break. And it just so happened that, if I ate nothing but curry rice for the next few months, sold all my furniture, and borrowed a bit of cash, I could afford to go.

So I went.

It was my last effort. I didn’t want to waste any more time and money chasing after a dream that didn’t exist. “This is it”, I said. “If this isn’t the real thing, I’m done.” And in the first 30 minutes of the first day of the course, I could have walked away. Satisfied. Overjoyed. Amazed. The stories were true! Chi was not only real, but tangible and immediately absorbable! The power, intensity, and benefit of Sifu’s course was so far beyond anything I had experienced with previous teachers that it seemed crazy to give the practices the same name. I had found it. Finally.

And the rest is history. My hope for you is that you will give yourself this gift. Take this chance.
