The 33rd Annual QCDD

Family Support Conference

Sponsored By the Queens Council on Developmental Disabilities (QCDD), New York State OPWDD, Bernard Fineson Region 4 DDRO and the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene

Registration Information:

Everyone must register for the conference (use GREEN registration button on top right of screen). Due to limited space, if you do not register, we cannot guarantee entry into your preferred workshop(s).

Self-Advocates, parents, family members and caregivers register and attend the conference free of charge.

State/Voluntary Agency and Department of Education professionals must send a $35 registration fee per person made payable to Queens Council on Developmental Disabilities. Send payment and a list of registrants that the payment is covering to: Heaven's Hands Community Services, Inc. 882 3rd Avenue, 10th floor, Brooklyn, NY, 11232. Attn: Toni Martinez

Service Providers: To puchase a table at the resource fair, click here: If you purchase a table at the resource fair, you do not need to register up to 2 staff who will work the table. Registration for the Resource Fair is a separate process. Any additional staff members who will attend the conference should register and pay as a participant.

  • Front Door in English and Spanish

  • Benefits and Entitlements

  • Self Direction from Start to Finish: Panel including people receiving services, broker, service providers and OPWDD

  • Understanding the IEP Process

  • Transition to Adult Services: From Entitlement to Eligibility

  • Legislative Advocacy 101, including all updates on Federal and State Medicaid, Managed Care and Social Security Legislation and Benefit Changes

  • Crisis Behavior Management Panel Including NY START and other service providers

Resource Fair

Representatives from OPWDD Agencies, Private and non-Profit Vendors and other service providers can answer questions regarding access to their specific goods and services. Includes Get Smart! Get Connected! for which respresentatives can answer your questions about the Front Door, enrollment process, services and entitlements.

Interpretation Services

Live interpretation will be available in Spanish and Mandarin only. If you will require the services of an interpreter, please indicate your need on the registration form.
