Have you ever wanted to ask “But why!?” in an art museum and get a real answer? Now is your chance! MOCA pulls back the curtain and allows the public to ask questions and offer their comments about the Museum’s newest exhibition, SLOW: Marking Time in Photography and Film. Director Marcelle Polednik opens a dialogue with the entire Jacksonville community inviting inquiry and commentary in a “Frequently Asked Questions” type of format. The Museum will gather thoughts from the public via social media #SLOWFAQ and in-gallery submissions, and she will answer them in a live Q&A session.
Free and open to the public
Throughout SLOW: Marking Time in Photography and Film, the Museum will offer fun educational events to enhance appreciation and understanding of the various exhibition themes and provide broader historical context for these two important genres of contemporary art. Regular admission fees apply to visit the galleries either before or after the programs for non-members.
Note: Seats will be held for individuals with tickets until 5 minutes before the scheduled event start. At that time, remaining seats will be filled on a first-come first-served basis.
