What if you could create an environment of inclusion, starting now?

About this event

Teams that are cognitively diverse are more innovative, more likely to prevent risk, and more likely to attract high-performing talent.  Creating a diverse and inclusive workplace isn’t just about hiring differently, it’s about leading differently. Even if you hire a more diverse workforce, are you ready to activate, leverage, and value the diverse talent, experience, and problem-solving styles that are different from yours? Do you allow for different approaches to thinking and leading in the workplace, activating the current talent on your team?  Or, do people know that you have a bias toward specific strengths and leadership styles, thus they hold back and everyone loses?

This workshop will dive deeper into the concept of Cognitive Diversity, explore ways that CliftonStrengths can give common language and a framework for cognitive diversity, and we’ll discuss tips, techniques, and strategies to put this into action. We are thrilled that Dr. Naomi Taylor will be co-presenting with me to bring relevant inclusion experience to this important topic.

Dr. Naomi R. Taylor is a social justice, racial equity educator, researcher, and writer.

Dr. Taylor brings a wealth of experience to lead in the areas of diversity, equity, and inclusion. She earned her Bachelor of Science and Master of Education degrees at the University of Minnesota, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Hamline University. Dr. Taylor is the Director of Intercultural Life at Saint Paul Academy and Summit School.
