Event description

Description

From bio families, to bonus parents, to forever homes, the LGBT+ family structure is as diverse as the community it belongs to. Join us in a conversation where we will discuss what it is like to hold a queer identity as a parent and/or as a child and how it shapes us into who we become.

ACCESSIBILITY CONSIDERATIONS

The Galerstein Gender Center is located on the fourth floor of the Student Services Building. There is one functioning elevator in the SSB.

There are two multi-stall restrooms on the fourth floor of the SSB, gendered as Men's and Women's. The doors are not automatic. The closest single-occupancy restroom with an automated door is on the second floor of the SSB. Workers will be available to assist guests in locating and accessing restrooms.

The GGC's door will be propped open during the beginning and end of this program, and a worker will be available to open the door during the program.

The office will be filled with rows of chairs that may be difficult to navigate for some guests, but there will be plenty of space at the front and back for the crowd to settle in comfortably.

All speakers will be asked to utilize a microphone. No interpreters are currently scheduled for this program.

For further accessibility inquiries or to discuss potential accommodations, please contact us at 972-883-6555 or at GenderCenter@UTDallas.edu
