Event description

Description

Learning Objectives

This workshop builds on skills covered in Python Part 1 and is also suitable for students with previous background in Python. Instructor Silas Toms will focus on using Python code in the ArcGIS platform. Skills will be applied to spatial analysis, over the three-session workshop. By the end of the workshop, students will understand practical applications of Python code and will be able to create custom ArcGIS script tools.

Students must possess basic ArcGIS skills; finishing the GIS Quick Start class would meet this requirement. Completing the Python Part 1 (Python Basics) workshop, or similar, is also very highly recommended.

Silas Toms is a Geospatial Lead at Zillow. He "wrote the book" on Python (well, two books, including "Mastering Geospatial Analysis with Python").
