Mother Road Trio – Get Your Kicks on Rt. 66 | October 18, 7pm | Free

Get your kicks on Rt. 66 with the Mother Road Trio – Passing through eight states, and stretching from Chicago to Los Angeles, the superslab of wigwam dreams, neon empires, giant plastic dinosaurs and American Pie carries on. The Mother Road Trio embodies the quirky and free-wheeling spirit of this mighty highway. Mother Road Trio’s style is as diverse as Rt. 66 itself, with offerings of rhythm and blues, original ballads, Motown, swing, jazz standards and rock and roll.

Carolyn Eynon Singers – Celebrating Our Vets | November 8, 7pm | Free

The Carolyn Eynon Singers, a 24-member choral group, presents “Celebrating our Veterans!”, an inspiring evening filled with choral and instrumental music from North American Choral Composers that celebrates generations of veterans. A special flag presentation by ROTC members will begin the concert and all our vets in the audience will be honored.

PVUMC Christmas – Star of Wonder | December 8, 2019, 6pm | Free

Usher in the Christmas season with the PVUMC Christmas Concert “Star of Wonder”. This event weaves music, poetic texts and audience sing-a-longs for an uplifting evening. Children, youth and adults perform alongside professional instrumentalists in a showcase of some of the best Advent and Christmas choir, handbell and instrumental music from around the world. A dessert reception follows in the Fellowship Center, and the Serendipities gift shop will be open, 5-8 pm.

Paradise Winds – From Paris, With Love | February 14, 2020, 7pm | Free

Paradise Winds reed quintet returns to Paradise Valley United Methodist Church celebrating Valentine’s Day with fine wind chamber music for reed quintet (oboe, clarinet, bass clarinet, bassoon & saxophone). Presenting a concert pinned around the love and romance of Paris with a rendition of George Gershwin’s An American in Paris, the Paradise Winds reed quintet perform repertoire is sure to delight. With a focus on educating and entertaining audiences, Paradise Winds make concerts accessible, embedding an audience-friendly Q&A during the performance.

Grand Canyon University Choirs – Broadway and Beyond! | March 13, 2020, 7pm | Free

Under the direction of Juan Hernandez, the Grand Canyon University Choirs present the music of Broadway. Listen as the choirs and ensembles sing favorite songs from famous Broadway musicals from the Golden Age to today’s modern musicals. For a change of pace, several selections from beloved operas will be also performed.

We3 – Jazz at the Perk | April 17, 2020, 7pm | Free | Perk Patio

We3, comprised of pianist Nicole Pesce, violinist Suzanne Landsford, and vocalist Renee Patrick entertains audiences of all ages with styles that include jazz, swing, blues, standards, world music, pop and R&B. Appearing regularly at such venues as The Musical Instrument Museum and The Nash, this trio is a PVUMC favorite as well. Held on the outdoor patio of The Perk, you can enjoy great jazz music under the stars, while sipping your favorite hot or cold beverage from The Perk.
