Event description

Description

When you spot a California condor, you don’t just see it—you experience it. The whooshing sound and hair-raising blast of wind created by the bird’s massive nine-foot wingspan turn a condor sighting into a lifelong memory. California condors once ranged throughout the skies of western North America, but by 1982, fewer than 22 remained. A variety of human activities led to the population decline. Now the birds are making a comeback thanks to reintroduction efforts by the National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA) and its partners.

Join David Lamfrom, for a discussion about how NPCA is working with key stakeholders to reintroduce the Condor to our national parks. We will share the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead for Condors and other wildlife in our national parks.
