ROBERT B. O’CONNOR is a marketing consultant and philosopher. He is married, and has three grown sons. As a young man, Bob was Phi Beta Kappa at Kenyon College, an assistant brand manager at Procter & Gamble, executive vice president of John Malmo Advertising, and co-owner of his own advertising agency whose clients included Kraft, Cargill, and Hard Rock Café Worldwide.
Bob was also a high-functioning illiterate in the school of life. He eventually fell pretty hard. Lost his family, lost his job, lost his self-respect. Misery. Then he read philosophy, read the Bible, undertook psychoanalysis, and started a small business that paid his bills.
These and other experiences taught Bob the life-changing secrets of gumption, which he reveals in his astonishing book, Gumptionade – The Booster For Your Self-Improvement Plan, now a five star-rated top seller on Amazon.
One of these secrets is increasing your courage by putting excellence before success, which he will be discussing with us on Thursday, January 12, 2017. He will also advise us on how to suffer better.
You can read or listen to a free chapter and measure your gumption at www.gumptionade.com.
