Approximately 4 out of 5 children who need mental health services don’t receive any help.
Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death for ages 15 to 24 in North America
Over 50% of the population will suffer from a mental illness during their lifetime
Both workshops will be implementing training for the wider Muslim community (16 years and older) to learn more information on suicide, suicide prevention, warnings, how to better handle these occurrences in the community, and how to create plan to implement. These workshops will be a 3 hour event to help train the community in essential knowledge from an Islamic lens, introduce the community to Naseeha, and answer any questions the community may have. The workshops will be facilitated by our Mental Health Professionals from Naseeha.
