Purple Lipstick Monologues ATL
Sat, August 5, 2017, 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM EDT
The Shades of the Purple Lipstick Monologues Survivor Stories are true stories of women who have suffered for many years at the hands of individuals who claimed to love them. We are bringing and showcasing the many types of domestic violence such as physical abuse, sexual assault, emotional or psychological abuse, and financial abuse. We will also showcase the effects of abuse which include depression, suicidal thoughts, PTSD, anxiety, cancer, alcoholism, drug abuse, and abandonment issues as well as the children who witnessed the abuse and so much more. If you or someone you know survived it, we will cover the issue. Our cast of women will be coming to bare their souls and leave it on the stage!
Our vision is to bring awareness to others in a way to understand and provide support to the victim. Domestic Violence destroys families and leaves emotional scars on the children who witness such acts. The cast will leave you breathless with such powerful passionate performances. We are coming to be our sisters keeper. NO MORE sisters killed on our watch!!
Come out and enjoy a performance that will change your entire life. We have women coming from all over to bring this production to you in Atlanta.. Our guests will be the victims’ advocates of Clemson PD along with some other surprises! There is someone who needs to see this performance and needs to have faith that there is life after domestic violence. This is a sponsored collaboration by DVAS and Love Shouldn't Hurt NY, Inc.
