Purple Light Walk: Shine Your Light for the Fight Against Domestic Violence

Women Helping Women, in collaboration with members of the YWCA of Greater Cincinnati and the Cincinnati Police Department, are excited to announce Cincinnati's first and only Purple Light Domestic Violence Awareness Month Walk.
The event is being held on the evening of October 11, 2013, starting at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center and going through the up and coming Cincinnati Banks District. It will start with registration and a resource fair from 5:30PM-6:30PM a brief program will begin at 6:30PM. The walk itself will start at 7PM and will loop about one mile around the Banks District.
The walk is completely free to all participants and each walker will be provided with a purple glow stick to carry during the walk. Additionally, a limited supply of t-shirts will be given to the first 100 participants that register for the event.
We hope that the 2013 Purple Light Walk will be the first of many. Please join us and help to light up the Cincinnati skies with the color purple and "Shine Your Light for the Fight Against Domestic Violence"!
