Event description

Description

*Invite the people interested in doing a Jewish thing.*

Purim Katan only happens once every few years - during the Jewish "Leap Years" of which 5779 is one!
Basically, the Torah says it should be "identical to Purim" except you don't do any of the things you have to do on Purim. [Insert head scratching.]

The theme of the festival is: "We're doing this because we want to, not because we have to."

BUT! Some rabbi said "eat more" and Purim Katan means "Little Purim." So, let's get together and celebrate! There will be wine, batch cocktails, and little foods (for "little" Purim).

Al Rosenberg is collecting donations for Together at the Table, a global grassroots initiative managed by OneTable, working to end anti-Semitism and hate crime through community. If you would like to donate, please venmo to @OneTableShabbat with the note "Together at the Table" or get in touch with Al for alternative methods.
