Pure Prairie League headlines the 6th Annual Misquamicut Beach Springfest! Springfest is a great family event held at the beach to kick off the season. Music, Rides, Amusements, Ferris Wheel, Petting Zoo, great food, arts and crafts and more make this a jam packed weekend to enjoy the spring!
General admission to the event is $7 per person. General admission does not get you a seat (although you can stand and watch) at this headline performance so get your reserved seats today and listen to the hits "Amie," "Let Me Love You Tonight" and more.
When Pure Prairie League formed in the late 1960s, no one had put a label on the music they played. Although the band drew heavily from 1960s’ rock, the group added a heavy dose of country and high-flying harmony that gave it a unique sound soon to be known as country-rock. Pure Prairie League, along with groups like the Eagles, reached mainstream radio listeners by the mid-1970s, as singles like “Amie” climbed the Billboard charts. Pure Prairie League continued to record, tour, and place singles on the charts.
