A Literacy Program that encourages children to read a book to a dog! @Hawkesbury Central Library, Windsor

About this event

This fun reading program aims to improve early literacy skills by encouraging children to read to a dog.

Each child receives an individual reading session where they can interact with a dog while reading. Bring a favourite story or select a book from the Library collection to share with your new doggy friend.

FREE EVENT: 10 MINUTE SESSION PER CHILD SO SPOTS ARE LIMITED

AGES 5-12 YEARS - CHILDREN UNDER 10 MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT

Hawkesbury Library Service has put a COVID Safe plan in place. Participant numbers to Library events are restricted by the guidelines as well as room size. Seating for social distancing requirements will be observed. Hand sanitiser and hand washing facilities will be provided. If you are feeling unwell please do not attend.

Images may be used for promotional purposes on council's websites, publications, social media or by newspapers. By attending this session you agree to these terms. If you do not wish your image (or the image of your child) to be published, please notify staff before the event.

     

     

  • Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult to all Library activities.

     

  • If you are unable to attend please cancel your tickets as soon as possible. This will enable others to participate in the programme.
