Event description

The inaugural Puppies & Planks Festival is coming to Los Angeles State Historic Park on Saturday, March 23, 2019! Created by Youtube's #1 fitness guru, Cassey Ho of Blogilates, and presented by PETCO, this outdoor festival will feature a full day of fitness, pups, shopping, food, and more!

Let's get your adrenaline pumping! Don't miss these fitness classes with Cassey and your favorite instructors! We've got an incredible line-up that includes fitness giants Anna Victoria, The Fitness Marshall, Joseph Corella (567 Broadway), Jackelyn Ho, and Luke Milton (Training Mate). Get ready to feel that burn!!

Don't leave your pups at home! We've got plenty of dog-friendly games & activities for them too. Start the morning with a 3K Dog Walk, try out some 'Ruff Yoga' with Crunch Fitness, and win some special treats from Petco at the Dog Carnival.

Health is wealth! Bring your loved ones and grab a bite from our healthy food trucks for a picnic in the park. It'll be the perfect way to re-fuel after your workout. Afterwards, explore the park and check out the Shopping Village to test out new brands and local products. You might even find a few photo opps along the way!

We've partnered with LA Animal Services to help raise awareness, donations, and funds for local shelters/rescues! While general admission to the park is completely free, our fitness classes & select activities are ticketed with 100% of all ticket sales going to LA Animal Services and local rescue groups.

On-site, we'll also have adoptable dogs looking for their forever home! Make sure to stop by LA Animal Services' Adoption Zone to spend some time with these amazing dogs and find the one perfect for your family <3

Get excited and make sure you come prepared with your yoga mat and water bottle. We'll have free water re-fill stations located throughout the park courtesy of our official water partner PRIMO. Ticket information below!

*Unfortunately, some of our fitness classes will be tough to do with with your furbaby. For these, be sure to make arrangements for your pup or schedule a walk with one of our on-site dog walking partners: Paws in Motion & FitPals (*advanced reservations required. Promotions & policies vary by partner. More information can be found here).

**The first 500 all access class pass buyers will receive a special P&P swag bag!!**

Includes admission into all 6 classes (that's $5 per class!) and 3K Dog Walk + Fit Body Warm Up with Anna Victoria.

Includes admission into the 3K Dog Walk + Fit Body Warm Up with Anna Victoria. You also get a #cuteaf dog bandana for your pup!

Not in a fitness mood? Just come spend a day in the park with us! Check out the Pup Carnival, explore the Shopping Village, and grab a bite from our food trucks.

What if my dog doesn't do well with crowds or loud noises?

  • You know your dog best. Puppies & Planks will have amplified speaker systems on-site, and we expect a large attendance, including other dogs and excited children. If your dogs do not fare well in these type of situations, use your best judgement, take necessary precautions, and consider leaving them at home where they're most comfortable!

Do you have any breed/size restrictions for dogs?

  • Absolutely not! All breeds and sizes are welcome. The event does not discriminate against any dog on the basis of their breed, size, age, or color.

How many dogs can I bring on the 3K Dog Walk or Ruff Yoga?

  • Each ticket includes (1) one dog.

What are some other dog policies you have?

  • Dogs must be well-behaved and non-aggressive towards people and/or other dogs.
  • Dogs must be on leash at all times, no exceptions. No leashes beyond 6 feet or retractable leashes will be allowed.
  • Dogs and puppies must be complete and current on all vaccines.
  • Please bring poop bags, and pick up after your pet!

How does ticketing work?

  • General admission is free, but you will need to purchase a ticket for our fitness classes and 3K Dog Walk. 100% of our ticket sales will go to LA Animal Services & their partners!

Can I purchase a ticket to one class?

  • Unfortunately, no. We only offer an all access class pass, giving you access to a whole day's worth of fitness classes for the price of 1 class at a boutique gym!

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

  • No! This is an all ages family event.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

  • There will be paid parking available in surrounding lots. We also recommend taking a rideshare service or taking the train to the nearby Chinatown Metro Station.

What should I bring into the event?

  • Yoga mats, re-fillable water bottle, picnic blankets, and of course, your canine companion!

What's the refund policy?

  • Sorry! No refunds allowed.

Am I allowed to leave and come back?

  • Yes! You are welcome to exit the Main Stage area or even the park. Your wristband will allow you entry into your next class.

Can I leave my yoga mat to save my spot for the next class?

  • Unfortunately, no. Please do not leave your mat and/or other belongings in the Main Stage area at any time. P&P is not liable for any stolen or lost items left in the park.

What time do I need to check in before my class?

  • Please arrive at least an hour before your activity's scheduled start time to find parking, check in, get your wristband, and find a spot.

Do I need to be in good health to attend classes?

  • Blogilates and oGorgeous Inc. strongly recommend that you consult with your physician before beginning any exercise program. You should be in good physical condition and be able to participate in the exercise.
