Event description

About this Event

November 3, 4PM in the Ballroom

55min

Three children’s stories based on the popular book of the same name. The first fairy tale tells the story of how mum and dad met. A terrible dragon flies into the town and wants to eat all the beautiful women. And he does. But one of the beauties, the very last one, is saved by a brave young man who defeats the dragon. The beautiful woman and the brave man immediately fall in love, get married and become mum and dad. And of course, they have children, who occasionally guide us through the stories. In the second fairy tale, mum and dad discover that their house is haunted. What’s more, ghosts even attack dad. Dad decides to fight them. With mum’s help, he beats the ghosts and the whole family is grateful to him. That’s our brave dad! But in the third story, a child falls ill and no-one, not even Dr. Henry Healthy, knows how to cure him. All he knows, is that the culprits are germs. So, mum and dad decide to investigate for themselves and search for a way to catch the germs. They then catch them all, and drown them. Although dad suffers a lot, he receives a distinction for his hard work. Everyone praises brave and skilful dad once again, and mum gives him lots of kisses.

The show is performed live by two actors with large and small puppets and a rich stage set featuring a people-eating dragon, town hall, town, house, cellar, ghosts and neighbours. And two dogs.

The whole show tells the story of how mum and dad love each other and their children – the brother and sister stick together, even though they sometimes argue and fight. Only then can the family defeat all the ghosts, illnesses and dragons. The little spectators also like to get involved in the play. They will have a lot of fun and, sometimes, they might even get scared for a moment. But that will soon pass.
