Abstract & Speaker's Bio

Dr. John Suh is Vice President of Hyundai Ventures, which focuses on developing opportunities in new markets enabled by new technologies. Its vision to develop practical solutions which have a deep respect and empathy for people and an awareness of technology’s potential to impact human activities. Hyundai Ventures’ mission is to identify unmet needs and major societal challenges in personal mobility and transportation. The categories of technologies of most interest include AI, complex systems operation and optimization, robotics (e.g., localization, planning and control, sensors, actuators, and computing hardware), portable renewable energy (e.g., batteries or fuel cells), and materials design and manufacturing.
