About this event
Currituck County 4-H is hosting a workshop on “All Things Pumpkin” for youth ages 5-7 on Friday, October 28, 2022 starting at 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm. This workshop will be located at the NC Cooperative Extension Currituck Center located at 120 Community Way, Barco NC. Pumpkins are an original all-American fruit and they have many uses in today’s world. This hands-on activity is fun and messy and is the perfect way for our youngest 4-H’ers to learn all about the “Great Pumpkin”. While dissecting a pumpkin participants will learn how pumpkins grow, the different parts of a pumpkin and their uses, and that not all pumpkins are orange. They will also carve their own pumpkin and make tasty pumpkin muffins to take home and share.
Space is limited. Registration deadline is October 24,2022. All participants must also be enrolled in 4-H Online for the 2022 program year; the link to that portion of the registration process is 4-H Online. If you are registered in 4-H online with another county please let us know.
If you need accommodations for persons with disabilities please contact Stephanie Minton at (252) 232-2262 or by email at stephanie_minton@ncsu.edu no later than 10 business days prior to class.
