Event description

Description

On September 20, 2017 Hurricane Maria made landfall over Puerto Rico, destroying more than 80% of the homes, thousands of schools and topping the charts for the costliest and deadliest natural disaster in Puerto Rican history. More than 100 days after the storm hit roughly 50% of the island was still without power; many roads were still destroyed making access to food and water a struggle for rural communities; many families were still separated; and at least 500 people died as a result of the storm.

Today, we’re calling on our expansive network of industry and thought leaders who are committed to seeing Puerto Rico rebuilt with emphasis on equity, inclusion and sustainability, to help carve a path forward, and bring relief to the communities that are still struggling to recover.

Some of the topics we will explore include renewable energy, education, health, housing and the arts. Please join us to co-create solutions that will help empower entrepreneurs from these devastated communities to rebuild Puerto Rico.
