Join IU authors and publishing professionals for a discussion about how to publish your first academic book. Topics will include an overview of the publishing process, writing a book proposal, choosing the right publisher for your field, and publicizing your book. A question and answer session will follow.
Panelists include Patrick Brantlinger, James Rudy Professor of English (Emeritus) at IU; Heidi Gealt, Director of the IU Art Museum; Dave Hulsey, Sales and Marketing Director at IU Press; and Dee Mortensen, Senior Sponsoring Editor at IU Press. Carolyn Walters, Executive Director of the Office of Scholarly Publishing, will moderate the panel.
The event is free, but you must register to attend. Space is limited to 140 people.
