Presented by Phil Erickson from Community Design + Architecture & Jessica Alba from Nelson\Nygaard
San Francisco's Pavement to Parks program has created new street plazas and many new parklets (sidewalk platforms that replace car parking spaces) by reclaiming street space in partnership with businesses and other community groups in the city. The parklets program has captured international attention, prompting a host of other cities to begin their own programs, from New York City to Vancouver. This forum, facilitated by Phil Erickson and Jessica Alba, will explore parklets and otehr innovative solutions, including shared spaces.

The City is hosting a series of speaker forums that continues their commitment to developing streets that are safe for our children and meet the needs of our many commuters. These forums will provide education on various topics as well as give you a chance to provide your input on what improvement you wish to see in the future. Join us for one or more evenings of great food and great speakers.
