Please join Nine PBS and Bank of America St. Louis for a screening of portions of Hiding in Plain Sight: Youth Mental Illness, a film by Erik Ewers and Christopher Loren Ewers and presented by Ken Burns. The documentary features first-person accounts from more than 20 young people, ranging in age from 11 to 27, who live with mental health conditions, as well as the parents, teachers, friends, healthcare providers in their lives, and independent mental health experts.
Following the screening, Kee Dunning, a well-known and highly regarded psychotherapist who was featured in the film, will participate in a panel discussion on youth mental health with Claire Webster from the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis, Inc., and Tom Duff, CEO of CHADS Coalition for Mental Health.
This event will be held outdoors in the Public Media Commons weather permitting, and moved into the Nine PBS studio if needed. Free snacks and a cash bar will be available for guests at the screening. We hope to see you there!
