Public relations is an integral part of communicating the work of architects. This two part interactive workshop will focus on helping architecture practices get a better understanding of public relations, from finding their voice in the crowd to understanding their audience and building a media profile.
In the first session, participants will learn how to promote their practice and present their story to the media, how to build relationships with journalists and how to develop a PR culture in their practice to maximise their effectiveness. By the end of the workshop each member of the group will set themselves ‘homework’ that focuses on a project or theme that they will develop and present at the next session.
In the second session, the group will look at relevant PR case studies and strategies, looking beyond media relations to networking, events, managing online presence and establishing a brand. Each member of the group will have the opportunity to present their own PR strategy for discussion and review with the group.
