Carved by Glaciers: Stewardship Across the Northern Rockies
in Partnership with University of Calgary Law

The 38th Public Land Law Conference features distinguished speakers from Canada and the U.S. who will compare the countries’ legal approaches to environmental regulation, energy development and infrastructure, climate change, wildlife corridors, water management, fisheries, and indigenous rights in the Northern Rockies.

Thursday, October 3, features an optional day-long field trip to the Bitterroot Valley, along with the Conference’s opening evening keynote address by Canadian Supreme Court Justice Russell S. Brown.

  • Educational sessions are free for students and the general public (Thursday keynote and Friday sessions)
  • Optional Thursday field trip (with CLE content) is $35 (all attendees)
    All attendees (general admission and lawyers) will need to select this option when registering if planning to attend the field trip.
  • $125 for lawyers seeking CLE, Early-Bird Rate until September 13 (Thursday keynote and Friday sessions)
  • $150 for lawyers seeking CLE, after September 3 (Thursday keynote and Friday sessions)
