DC’s Department of Housing and Community Development, (DHCD) will host “Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice (AI)” hearings.

The DHCD will conduct public hearings on the dates listed below, to discuss the District’s Draft 2012-2017 Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice (AI). The AI is a comprehensive review and assessment of private and public conditions and practices that affect housing equal opportunity in location, availability, and the accessibility of housing.

District of Columbia residents who would like to present oral testimony are encouraged to register in advance either by e-mail at OPM.QUESTIONS@dc.gov or by calling Tilla Hall at (202) 442-7239. Please provide your name, address, telephone number, and organization affiliation, if any.

Written statements may be submitted for the record at the hearing, or until close of business on October 28, 2019. Telecommunications Device for the Deaf (TDD) relay service is available by calling (800) 201-7165. A sign language interpreter will be provided upon request by calling or emailing Tilla Hall at (202) 442-7239 or tilla.hall@dc.gov five days prior to the hearing date.

Residents who require language interpretation should specify which language (Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese-Mandarin/Cantonese, Amharic, or French). Deadline for requesting services of an interpreter is five days prior to the hearing date.
