Description

The Symposium will showcase high-quality higher degree research and early career public health research being conducted across Medicine and related centres and schools. It will feature the UNSW Medicine 2025 research themes of:

  • Neuroscience, Mental Health & Addiction,

  • Infectious Disease, Immunity & Inflammation,

  • Cancer and

  • Non-Communicable Diseases.

Keynote Speakers include:

Professor Vlado Perkovic - internationally renowned nephrologist and incoming Dean of Medicine, UNSW, and

Professor Emily Banks - leading epidemiologist and longstanding scientific director of the 45 and Up study, ANU.

The program will also include an interactive panel on Career Development for Public Health followed by closing remarks by the SPHCM Head of School, Professor Rebecca Ivers.

The event will conclude with an awards ceremony.
