Description
The Center for Environmental Exposure and Disease (CEED) at Rutgers University has been working on environmental health issues related to the New Jersey ports, focusing on public health impacts of port activities on port-adjacent communities. The conference will engage a broad range of stakeholders including decision makers and public policy thought leaders, environmental and public health organizations,the NYNJ Port Authority, technical solutions experts, labor and faith-based organizations, as well as academics. The overall goal of the conference will be to educate the greater community and articulate solutions that improve the health and well-being in affected communities. Your attendance at the symposium will provide a much-needed and welcome perspective.
Participants who complete this educational program will be awarded 6.5 New Jersey Public Health Continuing Education Contact Hours (CEs). Rutgers-SPH has been approved by the New Jersey Department of Health as a provider of NJ Public Health Continuing Education Contact Hours (CEs).
