PTCUMC Middle School Mission Trip

A student retreat set in two locations: SIFAT in Lineville, AL and RATL in East Point, GA. It's designed to be an introduction to missions to not only provide MS students a chance to serve but also to teach them what it means and why we do it.

For our time at SIFAT (Servants in Faith and Technology) We'll go through an immersive program where the students spend time in a mock-up of a third world village. They'll each be given roles and amounts of food and credits. They'll then have to spend a day in the life of a villager and try to "make a living." It's designed to help the students understand how other people and places don't have access to "common" resources like we do. For more info, go to sifat.org

We'll then travel to RATL (Restoration Atlanta) who is one of our mission partners. It’s a women and children's shelter. RATL's purpose is to provide spiritual support to the women and their families. While there, we'll be hosting a "Day Camp" for all of the children there. We'll bring inflatables, games, and music to provide a block-party for the kids. For more info on RATL, go to restorationatl.org
